In 2021, a pie inspired by a chip shop beat the best in Britain. Our Chip Shop Chicken Curry Pie was named Class Champion at the British Pie Awards. The story behind it is pure Mud. The idea goes back to Christian's younger days at his local chippy, where curry sauce was the side order of choice. He took that nostalgic flavour — the one millions of us grew up with — and reimagined it as a proper handmade pie. That same pie went on to win Aldi's Next Big Thing on Channel 4, and featured on ITV's This Morning, where the presenters called it "really good," "lovely," and "delicious."
