It was a true privilege to once again collaborate with OSS Derneği, Automotive Aftermarket Association of Türkiye, on the second edition of this important sector study and to present the findings at the 2026 General Assembly in Istanbul. On behalf of Frost & Sullivan, I would like to sincerely thank the OSS leadership and its members for - the continued trust in our partnership, - the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Turkish aftermarket ecosystem, and - the warm hospitality extended during our time in Istanbul. 🔍 Key Takeaways from the 2026 Study ---------------------------------------------- 1️⃣ Growth is strong—but value is shifting The market is expanding toward ~$11B by 2030, with growth increasingly driven by technology, complexity, and higher-value components. 2️⃣ Ageing fleet drives demand—under margin pressure With an average vehicle age of ~14.3 years and ~74% vehicles >5 years, demand remains structurally strong—but price sensitivity is increasing. 3️⃣ EV transition is disruptive—even at an early stage While still small, EVs are the fastest-growing segment, already reshaping demand across parts categories. 4️⃣ Independent aftermarket is winning—but evolving Independent channels are gaining share, but success will depend on technical capability and specialization. 5️⃣ Distribution is being rewritten Digitalisation, e-commerce, and rising SKU complexity are transforming how parts are sourced, stocked, and delivered. 🚀 What This Means for Industry Players ---------------------------------------------- 1️⃣ To capture the opportunity ahead, the industry must: - Defend today’s ICE-driven value pools while building EV capabilities 2️⃣Invest in workshop upskilling and technical readiness - Strengthen ecosystem partnerships and service networks 3️⃣Accelerate end-to-end digitalisation across the value chain - Focus on margin resilience in a highly volatile market environment The Turkish aftermarket continues to stand out as a high-growth yet increasingly complex market, offering significant opportunities for players who can adapt quickly. Thank you once again to the OSS team and members for the collaboration—and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
