At MTN Nigeria, gender equality is a business commitment. In 2021, we joined IFC's Nigeria2Equal program, a two-and-a-half-year partnership designed to close gender gaps across leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria's private sector. By the end of the program, we had gone from being ranked 13th to #1 among the 30 most capitalised companies on the Nigerian Stock Exchange for providing equal opportunities for women in the workplace, based on a rigorous, independent assessment by Equileap, verified by PwC. We also earned EDGE MOVE certification, making MTN Nigeria only the second organisation in Sub-Saharan Africa to achieve this level of global gender equality accreditation. This journey; the data, the decisions, the transformation, has now been documented in a case study published by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank. It's a record of what it looks like when commitment meets action. We're proud of where we've come. And we're clear on where we're going; a 50:50 gender target by 2030.
