Following the launch of negotiations to upgrade the Korea-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (KSFTA), MTI and the Republic of Korea's (ROK) Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) convened the inaugural Investment Promotion Platform (IPP), aimed at strengthening bilateral economic cooperation in the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector. The IPP brought together government agencies and leading MRO companies from Singapore and the ROK to exchange insights, explore commercial opportunities, and identify new avenues for collaboration. As global demand for reliable and efficient MRO services continues to grow, both countries are well-positioned to leverage their complementary strengths and turn promising ideas into concrete partnerships.   MTI extends its appreciation to our partners from MOTIR, the ROK's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (국토교통부), as well as colleagues from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Enterprise Singapore, for making the inaugural IPP possible. We look forward to the successful upgrade of the KSFTA, and to building on this momentum to create new opportunities for businesses on both sides.
