A Deeply Tragic Incident in Lahore: A Call for Accountability and Student Safety We express our profound grief and sorrow over the heartbreaking incident in the Kahna area of Lahore, where the roof of a house-turned-academy collapsed, leading to tragic casualties among innocent children. Our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to the aggrieved families. We pray for the high stations of the departed young souls, strength (Sabr-e-Jamil) for their parents, and a swift, complete recovery for all the injured students. This tragic event underscores a critical issue that cannot be ignored. We call upon the authorities to conduct a transparent, rigorous investigation into this incident and hold the responsible individuals strictly accountable under the law. Furthermore, there is an urgent need to inspect and strictly enforce safety protocols across all makeshift, unverified, and unsafe tuition centers and educational setups. The lives of our students are sacred, and concrete preventative measures must be institutionalized to ensure such avoidable tragedies never occur again.
