The Laboratory of Molecular and Structural Immunology (MSI Lab), Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Chittagong, is proud to announce the establishment of four specialized research laboratories under the HEAT-11009-CU Sub-Project. 🔬 RT-PCR Laboratory 🧬 Proteomics Laboratory 🧫 Cell Culture Laboratory 🦠 Sample Processing Laboratory These laboratories have been established as part of the HEAT-11009-CU Sub-Project, titled: "Institutional Readiness for Emerging-Reemerging Pandemic Diseases: Exploration of Disease Etiology at the Molecular Level, Evaluation of Treatments in Practice and Development of Novel Antiviral Strategies." The newly established facilities will serve as the core research platforms of the Laboratory of Molecular and Structural Immunology (MSI Lab), enabling advanced research in molecular diagnostics, immunology, proteomics, cell biology, host-pathogen interactions, and translational biomedical sciences. They will also provide researchers and students with modern infrastructure for cutting-edge experimentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and capacity building. This initiative is being implemented under the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) Project, supported by the World Bank, and is led by Professor Dr. M. Monirul Islam, Sub-Project Manager (SPM) and Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Molecular and Structural Immunology (MSI Lab). The MSI Lab remains committed to advancing research excellence, strengthening institutional preparedness for emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, and contributing to innovative solutions for global health challenges.
