Smt. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, chaired a review meeting with States/UTs to assess preparedness for the implementation of PM-SETU. The meeting focused on strengthening State-level readiness, accelerating cluster planning, onboarding industry partners, and ensuring timely action on infrastructure, courses, trainers and governance mechanisms. With PM-SETU set to transform Government ITIs through an industry-led hub-and-spoke model, MSDE is working closely with States to ensure that implementation remains outcome-driven, future-ready and aligned with local economic opportunities. The meeting was also attended by Shri Dilip Kumar, DG, DGT. Together, Centre, States and Industry are building a stronger skilling ecosystem for India’s youth.
