Summer is often an extra fun time for pets, from the chance for longer walks to larger sunny spots for afternoon catnaps. But warmer weather and shifting routines can come with hazards for furry friends. 🌡️ Hot temperatures can quickly cause pets to overheat – never leave pets alone in parked vehicles. 🕷️ Ticks and other insects can cause diseases, especially for pets who aren’t on year-round medications. 🌊 Open water like pools and lakes can be a drowning hazard as well as a health hazard if pets drink the water. 🎆 Fireworks – Loud noises can prompt pets to bolt or act unpredictably.
