🌍 Making a Difference, One Vaccination at a Time 🐕🐈 Last week, MSD Animal Health was incredibly proud to volunteer at the Worldwide Veterinary Service’s Mission Rabies Project in Malawi alongside VetPartners.   Rabies remains one of the world's deadliest diseases. Every 9 minutes, someone dies from rabies and tragically 4 out of 10 of those deaths are children. With 99% of human rabies cases caused by an infected dog bite, vaccinating dogs in rabies hotspots is one of the most effective ways to protect both animals and the communities they live in.   Over the course of an extraordinary week, a team of 19 dedicated volunteers from MSD Animal Health and VetPartners worked side-by-side with local teams to deliver an incredible 2,351 vaccinations—including 2,088 dogs and 263 cats.   Susie Wood, EURAM Corporate Accounts Director, MSD Animal Health, and one of the volunteers, said: “This achievement reflects the power of collaboration, a shared commitment to preventative healthcare, and the passion of individuals coming together to tackle a disease that no one should die from.
