Our first keynote of the day goes to the anazing Dr Jana Jeschke (Institut Jules Bordet, ULB Brussels): "Nanopore-Resolved Epitranscriptomic Landscapes in Human Breast Cancer." This is long-read sequencing doing something short reads can't: reading RNA modifications directly, in native molecules, and mapping them across real human tumours.
