A new milestone for shore power in the Mediterranean 🚢 This weekend, MSC World Europa was part of the official inauguration of new shore power facilities at the Port of Marseille Fos. The event was a culmination of many months of cooperation and testing with the Port and was attended by local and national representatives. It highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnership with ports and local authorities to advance port electrification infrastructure in the Mediterranean. As Michele Francioni, Chief Energy Transition Officer, MSC Group’s Cruise Division, noted:  “I am very proud and happy to see all the hard work of all the parties involved has resulted in what we have seen here in Marseille.  The investment in infrastructure here at the Port highlights the importance shore plays in improving air quality in port communities.” #MSCCruises Photo credit : Port de Marseille Fos
