Breaking News! We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a highly productive 2-day Inception Workshop in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This inception workshop was organized for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded Regional Technical Assistance Assignment, TA-10533 REG: Integration of Innovative Grid Control Technology to Scale Up Renewable Energy (58052-001). MRC Türkiye is proudly spearheading this critical initiative to support the energy transformation and scale up resilient renewable integration across the grids of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Cambodia. The event was honored by the inspiring opening remarks of Ms. Kanokpan Lao-Araya Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Uzbekistan Resident Mission. Her powerful vision for regional cooperation and sustainable energy development perfectly set the stage for our collaborative journey ahead. We were also glad to have Mr. Atsumasa Sakai , Senior Energy Specialist at ADB’s Energy Sector Office, who enriched the discussions with his valuable expertise and presence throughout the workshop. A heartfelt thank you to all the distinguished participants, energy sector stakeholders from Cambodia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, including but not limited to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Barqi Tojik, NEGU, JSC REN, and CDC Energiya. The synergy and active engagement across all reaffirm our shared commitment to building smarter, more resilient grids. We would also like to extend our special thanks to Gokhan Tosun, PMP and Mevlüt Akdeniz for their outstanding delivery of the technical presentations. Their comprehensive presentations and deep technical insights added immense value to the workshop discussions.
