Growing up in a rural setting, Charles spent much of his childhood herding cattle, an experience that instilled in him the values of hard work, responsibility, patience, and resilience. Although life presented many challenges, he remained focused on creating a better future through education and honest work. His formal education began in 1980 at Nyarath Primary School. He later continued his studies at Wayaga Primary School before completing his primary education at Nyakahia Primary School. After primary school, he enrolled at Ober Catholic Youth Polytechnic, where he successfully attained Trade Test Grade III, gaining practical technical skills that opened the door to the engineering profession. Seeking greater opportunities, Charles relocated to Nairobi, where he began his career in engineering. Through commitment, discipline, and continuous learning, he worked with several reputable companies, including UB Engineering, Industrial Plant Ltd, Alloy Steel Castings , Sentech Ltd, and later KHS East Africa, one of the world's leading suppliers of packaging and processing solutions. While pursuing his career, Charles refused to let his educational journey end. He enrolled as a private candidate to complete his secondary education and successfully attained his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Determined to advance professionally, he later joined National Polytechnic, where he pursued Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option) and graduated with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option). His growing expertise in industrial engineering, manufacturing, food and beverage processing, packaging technology, stainless steel fabrication, project management, and customer relationships. Today, Mr. Charles O. Odiya serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Chalkrat Global Limited – Africa Region. Under his leadership, the company partners with internationally recognized engineering firms to provide advanced filling, packaging, food processing, stainless steel fabrication, and industrial engineering solutions across Africa. His life story is a powerful reminder that success is not determined by where one begins but by the courage to keep moving forward despite life's obstacles. Today, Mr. Charles O.
