Talks on track. Initial data collection results being exchanged. Fine-tuning being underway for the planned installation of sensors to monitor traffic flow at the demo sites and create digital twins. This is MOVEO in action! The MOVEO consortium gathered in Winterthur last week for our Second General Assembly. 15 partners, two days, and one shared goal: making European transport smarter, safer, and more connected. Together we reviewed progress across all work packages: from inspection and monitoring to digital twins and inclusive mobility: ▪️ Inspection and monitoring for transport infrastructure and traffic flows ▪️ Smart solutions for the door-to-door mobility of passengers and goods ▪️ Making transport and mobility services more inclusive and accessible ▪️ A digital twin platform to virtually recreate our demonstration sites Partners also reviewed the progress of all five demonstrator sites which are covering a wide range of infrastructure types, climate conditions, and life cycle stages. The meeting included a visit to the Leonie-Moser bridge in Winterthur, where MOVEO is installing sensors to monitor passenger flows between trains and buses. The bridge is expected to be completed in September 2026. A warm thank you to ZHAW School of Engineering and Stadt Winterthur for being such great hosts, and to Jose Solís Hernández and Paula Lopez Arevalo from the project coordination for leading two productive and energising days.
