Vision Australia has received $30,200 in ClubGRANTS funding from Mounties to deliver Supporting Fairfield’s Locals to Live Independently with Incurable Vision Loss. With more than 450,000 Australians living with uncorrectable vision loss, early access to specialist low‑vision rehabilitation is critical. Timely, tailored support can significantly reduce isolation, anxiety and safety risks, particularly for older Australians adjusting to sudden or progressive vision loss. This funding enabled early intervention services delivered by Vision Australia’s qualified allied health specialists, including: • Low‑vision assessments and individualised support planning • Occupational therapy for daily living skills • Orientation and Mobility training and white cane provision • Assistive technology assessment and training • Psychosocial and clinical support to maintain wellbeing Proudly supported through ClubGRANTS funding from Mounties, this project ensures Fairfield community members can access vital support early, before government funding becomes available, helping them live safely, independently and with dignity.
