"Imagine a new generation of Mary Lyons." Those were Melinda French Gates' closing words as she accepted the Smithsonian National Museum of American History's Great Americans Medal. Reflecting on Mary Lyon's vision for Mount Holyoke, Gates reminded us that when more people marginalized on the basis of gender have access to education, the future changes.
