Excited to share that our paper has been published in the proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Crisis (ESCC 2025), Rhodes, Greece 🐝 The Future of Sport Facilities: “The Bee-Sportive” Sustainable Concept In this study, we reimagined ITU’s sports complex through a deep-energy retrofit approach integrating: • High-performance envelope upgrades • Efficient HVAC & smart lighting systems • AI-driven building energy management • Solar PV + kinetic energy solutions 📊 Key Results: ✔ 48.7% reduction in annual energy consumption ✔ Energy demand reduced from 11.25 GWh to 5.77 GWh/year ✔ 9.8% electricity self-sufficiency Proud to have worked under the guidance of my professor and advisor Prof. Dr. Hatice Sozer, and alongside my co-authors Sevim BEÇET and Zeynep Karataş on this forward-looking concept for sustainable sports facilities. Grateful for the collaboration and excited to contribute to advancing energy-efficient, smart, and community-centered campus design. #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #SmartBuildings #NetZero #CampusSustainability #ESCC2025
