Wow! I’m so thrilled and humbled to be recognized as "Canada's Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity" for 2021! I made the switch from Engineering to Cybersecurity only 5 years ago (with 3 children under the age 5 at the time). The switch was scary but exciting and I never realized the extent of impact I could make in only 5 year - from securing Canada's telecom networks, to securing and modernizing Canada's critical payment infrastructure! The impact that I get to make every day in the lives of Canadians (which they are not even aware of) is the biggest reward. But to be recognized at an industry level, is really the cherry on top! I hope this recognition will inspire others (especially women) to take more risks and step outside their comfort zones and cease opportunities that come their way. If I can do it, trust me - you can too!! I want to thank all the leaders that have taken a chance on me, the mentors that have believed in me, friends & colleagues that have been part of my journey in cybersecurity so far! It's a huge honor to be included in this list of trailblazing and inspirational women! https://lnkd.in/g8QDt3W Congratulations to all the winners: Kimberley St. Pierre, Catherine Mendonsa, Dima Alhadidi, Rima Aristocrat, Nancy G., Heather Ricciuto, Eman Hammad, PhD, Andrea Knoblauch, Anne Genge CIPP CHSP 🛡, Hadis Karimipour, Ph.D., P.Eng., SMIEEE, Cara Wolf, MBA CMC, Melissa Carvalho, Cat Coode, Margo Seltzer, Claudette McGowan M., Jennifer Fernick, Jennifer Williams, Victoria Granova and Andrea Gorog. #ITWC #ITWorldCanada #itworldawards #SheLeadsTech #topwomenincyber #cybersecurity #mentorship #payitforward #girlswhocode #womenincyber #mentor #cyber #womenincybersecurity #womeninit #WISECRA #womeninstem #womeninengineering
