One of the things I appreciate most about my work is the opportunity to learn directly from the companies shaping the future of European defence. Three reflections from our recent visit to BAE Systems Bofors: ▫️Industrial capability is a strategic enabler. Strengthening Europe's defence also means strengthening the industrial base that underpins it. ▫️Partnerships require proximity. Meaningful cooperation is built through dialogue, transparency and a genuine understanding of each other's strengths and ambitions. ▫️Long-term competitiveness is a shared endeavour. Governments, industry and academia all have a role to play in fostering innovation and resilience across the Nordic region. Grateful for the valuable discussions and looking forward to continuing the dialogue.
