A warm welcome to our future cadets! Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the next group of Dutch cadets who will start their cadetship at Van Oord in September 2025. The day began with an inspiring talk from Harold WM Linssen, Director Ship Management, who shared his journey from working at sea to leading at the strategic level. His message was clear: hands-on experience forms the foundation for strong leadership. Roman L., Crew Manager, gave the cadets a deeper understanding of our operations and what to expect during their internship. Captain Corné van der Spek followed with inspiring stories from his career at sea, showing just how far a cadetship can take you. After a Q&A session and lunch with the Pool Managers and Crew Officers, the cadets left with excitement and confidence for the journey ahead. Here’s to the start of an exciting chapter.
