We’ve just welcomed a $400,000 grant from LaunchVic to support a new program designed to help scientists transform AI and deep-tech research into commercially viable ventures. The Future Frontier AI & Deep-tech Pre-Accelerator Program, delivered by the Monash AI Institute and Illume Venture, has received a Victorian Government Pre-Accelerator Grant to support researchers, founders and aspiring entrepreneurs on the journey from discovery to venture creation. Over the next two years, Future Frontier will deliver four 10-week programs, supporting at least 80 participants with specialised training, mentoring, investor engagement and industry connections. Future Frontier builds on Monash's growing innovation ecosystem and AI capabilities – including the recent launch of our AI supercomputer MAVERIC – and strengthens pathways for participants in the University's AI Hackcelerator and broader entrepreneurship initiatives.
