The Kindred People program is now live, with tickets on sale for this landmark Indigenous‑led festival coming to Monash this September. Taking place on Boonwurrung Country from 1–5 September 2026, Kindred People brings together global First Nations artists, Elders and Knowledge Holders across performance, music, visual art and knowledge exchange. The program features world‑premiere commissions including The Scarecrow & Waa and Decolonising the Bells, alongside major works such as Two Blood 雙血, and international productions UPU and He Huia Kaimanawa. A vibrant music program runs throughout the festival, with artists including electronic music duo Electric Fields, blues legend Marlene Cummins and National NAIDOC Artist of the Year Shellie Morris. At its centre is Kummargi yulendj gadhaba (knowledge rising up together), a two‑day gathering of First Nations thinkers, with speakers to be announced soon. Kindred People reflects Monash’s commitment to Indigenous leadership, creativity, and global cultural exchange. Everyone is invited to join us for these significant cultural events. 🎟 Explore the program → kindredpeople.monash.edu
