Building a more resilient society starts with stronger healthcare systems supported by effective regulations. Today at Almedalsveckan, Lina Karlsson highlighted the complexity of MDR and its growing impact on access to innovation and market competitiveness in the Mölnlycke arranged panel discussion. There was clear alignment: regulation needs to be simplified while maintaining high patient safety standards. It was enlightening how many of our panellists agreed on the need for smart regulation that protects patients, supports innovation, strengthens Swedish and European competitiveness and contributes to a more sustainable healthcare system. Kristina Lönnqvist joined another panel highlighting the critical role of the chemical and process industries in preparedness and the need for resilient value chains to secure patient care, every day. At Mölnlycke, we know: availability and delivery reliability of medical products are fundamental to healthcare resilience. This requires cross-sector collaboration, modern regulation, and long-term investment, not crisis-driven decisions. Preparedness is built ahead of crisis, through collaboration and long-term thinking. Our thanks to everyone who contributed to today’s discussions!
