šŸ“¢ I am delighted to share our recently published review article in The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (Q1): Advancements and Challenges in Modelling and Simulations of Micro-Electrical Discharge Machining (Micro-EDM): A Review This work provides a comprehensive and critical review of the current state of modelling and simulation techniques in micro-EDM. The paper examines key aspects of the process, including plasma discharge behaviour, crater formation, single- and multiple-discharge conditions, tool wear, dielectric flushing flow, particle dynamics, recast layer formation, and emerging machine learning-based approaches. In addition to highlighting the strengths and limitations of existing modelling methodologies, the review identifies current challenges and outlines promising directions for future research in micro-manufacturing and advanced manufacturing systems.
