Accelerating research with AI | Data Scientist & AI Scientist
AI might not be limited by intelligence anymore. It might be limited by human verification. A fascinating new study explores a powerful idea: As AI becomes cheaper and more capable, the real bottleneck of the economy may shift from execution to verification. Machines will generate solutions, code, research, and strategies at scale. But humans will still need to verify outcomes, interpret meaning, and take responsibility for decisions. This creates what researchers call a “Measurability Gap.” AI can execute far more than humans can realistically verify. The result could reshape how companies operate, how talent is valued, and how economic value is created. In the future, the most valuable roles may not be builders. They may be verifiers, intent directors, and decision underwriters. This paper offers a deep economic framework for understanding the AGI transition and the emerging “agentic economy.” Very interesting perspective for anyone working in AI, economics, or technology strategy.
