Testing & Commissioning – Solar PV System (5.5 MWp) ☀️ | Makkah, KSA 🇸🇦 As part of the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for a 5.5 MWp Solar PV Project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, comprehensive electrical, functional, and performance tests were successfully conducted using Megger, Multimeter, and Solmetric PVA-1500 I-V Curve Tracer to ensure system safety, correct installation, and full compliance with SEC & Tarshid requirements. 🔹 Insulation Resistance Tests (DC & AC cables) – Megger • Inverter ↔️ SMDB • SMDB ↔️ Backup Breaker • Backup Breaker ↔️ Point of Connection 🔹 Earthing System Tests ✔️ Earth resistance measurement ✔️ Earthing & bonding continuity verification 🔹 Continuity & Polarity Tests ✔️ Continuity tests for power and earthing conductors ✔️ DC & AC polarity checks to verify correct terminations 🔹 DC String & Cable Testing ✔️ DC cable resistance measurement ✔️ String insulation resistance verification ✔️ Voc, Vmp, Isc & Imp measurements ✔️ String-to-inverter matching confirmation 🔹 Inverter & LV Panel Testing ✔️ AC voltage, current & power measurements ✔️ Inverter and main breaker verification ✔️ LV panel functional checks 🔹 PV Performance Testing – Solmetric PVA-1500 ✔️ I-V & P-V curve tracing ✔️ Voc & Isc measurement ✔️ Irradiance measurement (W/m²) ✔️ Module temperature measurement ✔️ String performance verification & mismatch detection 🙏 Special appreciation to the ETA Max team for their outstanding contribution and dedication throughout this project.
