Netflix, in collaboration with Pluc.TV, launched India’s first Climate Scriptwriting Lab on 9th April 2026 in New Delhi. The 8-month programme is designed to support 60 writers from across the country working on feature films and short fiction, with in-person workshops to be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Guwahati. Ms. Suman Chandra, Director, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, delivered a special address at the event and formally announced the launch of the lab. She highlighted the importance of such timely initiatives that bring together storytelling and climate & clean energy awareness. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy congratulates Netflix India and PLUC TV on the successful launch of this initiative and looks forward to the creative integration of climate and clean energy themes into mainstream storytelling.
