The special issue “Mountain Productive Landscapes in the Socio-Ecological Transition” (Journal of Alpine Research / Revue de Géographie Alpine, 113-3 | 2025), which I had the pleasure to co-edit with Anna Karla De Almeida Milani, PhD, is now published! This volume brings together interdisciplinary contributions that examine how socio-ecological transition reshapes productive landscapes in mountain areas, addressing post-industrial realities, industry-related urbanisation processes, and future-oriented perspectives grounded in circular economy and just transition frameworks. We would like to sincerely thank all the contributing authors: Caroline Meynet; cristiana mattioli and Agim Kercuku; Luca Zecchin; Silvia Lanteri and Roberto Dini; Federica Serra and Marco Del Fiore for their rigorous and committed work. My gratitude also goes to the editors of the Journal of Alpine Research, Cristina Del Biaggio and Maxime Frezat, for their careful guidance throughout the editorial process and the UGA Éditions.
