This week Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) participated in the Mid West Major Projects Conference 2026 held in Perth, highlighting project development, investment, and growth opportunities across the region. MEPAU’s Vice President of Business Management & Growth Joe Ariyaratnam presented on MEPAU’s activities in the Mid West. The event also featured a strong lineup of speakers, including Hon. Jackie Jarvis MLC, Mid West Chamber of Commerce CEO Joanne Fabling, and Mid West Development Commission CEO Nils Hays. Minister Jarvis emphasised the importance of the Mid West as a cornerstone of Australia’s energy transition, highlighting the region’s unique capability to lead nationally through strong contributions from both renewable energy and gas. The Minister underscored that gas will continue to play a critical role in the transition, supporting reliable and secure energy supply as the energy system evolves.
