Mitsui E&P Australia keynote the Energy Club WA industry dinner.   MEPAU’s CEO and MD Ken Yamamura presented an overview of MEPAU’s portfolio, and how the company has evolved to become an integrated energy solutions company. The global reach of the company, combined with local commitment has delivered opportunities across multiple value chains. He reinforced the importance of long term, trusted partnerships, and how this has underpinned growing the business in Australia. Ken focused on the benefits delivered by the Waitsia Gas Project to WA’s Mid West, and the flow-on value chain opportunities that are being realised across the industrial and resources sectors.  The Waitsia Gas Project serves as a strategic piece of infrastructure for development of the onshore Perth Basin, delivering gas to the WA domestic market and LNG internationally. MEPAU is committed to ongoing phases of development in the Perth Basin and utilising the Waitsia infrastructure to support other resource owners.  The discussion reinforced the critical role of gas in underpinning energy security and economic stability, while also outlining how MEPAU is working collaboratively with industry, government and partners to responsibly reduce emissions and support decarbonisation.   Thank you to our guests, the engaged audience and the Energy Club WA team for facilitating an opportunity to share MEPAU with the industry.
