History doesn't repeat but it sure does rhyme (Mark Twain). That saying resonates in Mott MacDonald just as it did in my last career in the British Army. A part of our 160 years of history is built on legendary tunnel expert John Vernon Bartlett’s, who back in 1964 working at Mott, Hay & Anderson, patented the bentonite shield, changing what was possible in poor ground and making tunnelling projects safer and more efficient. From the Victoria Line to Toronto Subway and Melbourne City Loop, his influence as a leader in tunnelling excellence still shows up in the infrastructure we rely on today. And he is still shaping what Mott MacDonald teams are delivering around the world: https://mottm.ac/3S5rNTB #pastpresentfuture
