FUTURE MIT Alumni from the 305 took advantage of simultaneous Spring Breaks at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Miami-Dade high schools to get together, talk shop, and enjoy freshly baked siMIT. Yes, that's a thing. It's a Turkish bread, one of the delicious offerings at Neoklasik which served as the meeting point and gracious host. Two separate mini meetups enabled the majority of recently adMITted students to get to know at least one current MIT student. They were able to discuss dorm choices, food plan alternatives, research opportunities, required physical education class options, and of course how totally easy the courses at the Institute are. Not. A big, big thank you to future alumni Francisco G., Isabella Morado, Nicolette Xydas and Mariam Kazimli for taking precious time from their Spring Break, or sleep deprivation recovery week, to meet with the adMITs. Of note was Mariam's ability to single-handedly field questions for almost two hours! CURRENT Alumni will be able to meet with the new adMITs during the upcoming Recent AdMITs Gathering. It will be a relaxed setting for these inquisitive high school seniors to ask MIT Alumni what they have been doing since leaving MIT and what exciting things they are now doing in the 305.
