He highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperative banking, accelerating PACS computerization and business diversification, promoting democratic and accountable cooperative institutions, and expanding the cooperative movement into emerging sectors such as food processing, renewable energy, tourism, and digital platforms. The Secretary also stressed the immense potential of the North Eastern region in dairy, horticulture, food processing, and value addition, calling for stronger institutional partnerships and end-to-end infrastructure to unlock cooperative-led growth in the region.
