Presentations by the Ministry of Cooperation, Govt. of India highlighted achievements of the last five years, progress against national priorities and the vision for the cooperative sector by 2031. Discussions covered key initiatives including M-PACS, the Worldโs Largest Grain Storage initiative, cooperative banking, business diversification, the role of National Co-operative Exports Limited (NCEL), National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) and Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL), and preparations for the Foundation Day celebrations on 6 July 2026. Thematic discussions focused on cooperative development in the North Eastern States, expansion of MPACS, DCS and FCS, agri-infrastructure development and strengthening the cooperative ecosystem through national institutions. A key session on the role of national institutions in strengthening the cooperative ecosystem in India was chaired by Shri Pankaj Kumar Bansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, with participation from NABARD - National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, National Dairy Development Board, IFFCO, Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), NAFED India, National Cooperative Consumers'โ Federation Of India Limited (NCCF) and National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC). Shri Siddharth Jain, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, also shared valuable perspectives on the future direction of Indiaโs cooperative ecosystem and the implementation of key sectoral initiatives.
