Star Rating for Schools Coordinator at iRAP
It is always inspiring to work alongside local communities to tackle one of the leading causes of death among children and young people - road traffic injuries. Through the AI&Me: Empowering Youth for Liveable Cities project in Vietnam (2024β2027), we are supporting teachers and students with the knowledge and skills they need to become advocates for safer communities. What makes this initiative especially powerful is its ripple effect: participants are not only learning, but also equipped to cascade this training to their peers. β¨ Insights gathered from school communities will be shared with government stakeholders, helping to drive meaningful improvements in road safety around school zones. π« During the recent Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions across two provinces in Vietnam, I also had the privilege of learning from colleagues at YOURS - Youth for Road Safety - Jorge Leonardo GΓ³mez Ayala and Molly Stoneman. Their expertise in facilitation techniques and learning methodologies, including the GATE approach, added tremendous value to the sessions. Grateful for the collaboration and inspired by the commitment of educators and young people working towards safer, more liveable cities. π΄ πΆββοΈ
