Tracing the Imprints of Time: When "Song-Style Minimalism" Meets "Nordic Restraint" While designing this chair, I constantly pondered a question: in today’s fast-paced, industrialized world, where exactly does the "soul" of a piece of furniture reside? As the founder of Mingce Furniture, I have no desire to create mere wooden objects that simply occupy a room. Instead, I strive to evoke a sense of serenity that transcends cultures and resonates deeply with the spirit. The armchair pictured here is crafted from North American black walnut—wood that bears the rich character of time. Its grain reads like natural poetry, while the mortise-and-tenon joinery stands as a sincere tribute to traditional craftsmanship. In our creative process, we adhered to the "principle of subtraction"—stripping away the superfluous to reveal the inherent strength of the structure. This minimalist design language is not intended to chase trends; rather, it aims to carve out a sanctuary for the breath and the soul amidst the clamor of urban life. I firmly believe that superior craftsmanship requires no flowery rhetoric. Every curve and every joint represents a profound commitment to material integrity and precision. This is the design vision we wish to share with the world. If you resonate with this aesthetic—finding balance amidst the noise—I invite you to connect with me and explore how we might integrate this Eastern aesthetic into international spaces. #DesignPhilosophy #Mastercraftsmanship #BlackWalnut #Minimalism #InteriorDesign #MingceFurniture #GlobalDesign
