This week, the Minerva Energy team had the pleasure of visiting the Østerild Test Centre in Denmark alongside colleagues from the Siemens Energy blade engineering team for a collaborative visit centred on WindVue, our advanced thermographic blade inspection system delivered in partnership with ABJ Renewables / ABJ Drones and Concept X. The visit brought together blade inspection, repair, and engineering expertise to align on strategy and explore the next steps in blade inspection and repair for the wind industry. It was a genuinely productive few days and a pleasure to work alongside a team of that calibre. WindVue combines high-resolution thermal and optical imaging to detect subsurface blade defects down to 3-4mm at depths of up to 15cm, across the full blade from root to tip.
