Architect, Researcher on Nature-based Solutions and Regenerative Urban Design
🌱 Beyond Sustainability – An Operational Path Towards Regenerative Urban Design This week has been an intense and deeply inspiring experience for me and for the 13 students from Politecnico di Torino DAD - Dipartimento di Architettura e Design, with roberta ingaramo, surrounded by the amazing teams at Henning Larsen and Ramboll, in the beautiful city of Copenhagen — a true open-air urban lab, a guide to best practices, and a city I deeply love. I hope I passed on this passion to the students who joined us. We return home with the awareness that the dialogue between academic research and professional practice is crucial to developing applied innovation and concrete tools to face the challenges of today and tomorrow. Talking about regenerative urban design, and exploring how it can become both a practical approach and a shared ambition, is a necessary step to define the mindset and tools that current and future architects will need to design a better world. One quote kept echoing through our lectures: "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." – Albert Einstein A call to radically rethink our perspective — no longer anthropocentric, but rooted in coexistence. 🙏 Thank you to everyone who made this possible — especially the Rambøll Fonden / Ramboll Foundation, Henning Larsen, and all the inspiring professionals who generously shared their time and knowledge.
