Mark Zuckerberg’s latest message to Meta employees is a useful reminder: AI ambition is easier than AI execution. According to Business Insider, Zuckerberg said Meta’s AI agent progress has been slower than expected, even as the company continues pouring major resources into talent, infrastructure, and the race toward superintelligence. This does not mean the AI race is slowing down. It means the difficult part is shifting. The next stage will not be won by vision statements alone. It will depend on execution, workflow integration, employee trust, data quality, and the ability to turn frontier models into reliable institutional systems. AI is no longer just a technology race.
