Today we’re taking a trip to a place where more meters have been drilled off tower than possibly anywhere else in SouthEast Sask. The Legendary Storthoaks bar has had many names through the years but if you were involved in the industry or still are, this was the place to be. A population of around 100 people and a lot of good hands came out of this town. Their pride for the industry is second to none particularly the drilling side, it was a favourite crew hangout for sure. Snapped a few pictures of all the rig signs that still hang inside, they sure get the memories going. Although a few are “in the weeds” these days I’m sure you might recognize a few. Livelihoods were made on these and local business’s thrived from it, still nice to see the recognition.
