🚨 Proud to share the results of our latest publication! 𝗘𝗨𝗦-𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆 (𝗘𝗨𝗦-𝗖𝗗𝗦) seems to be associated with 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗘 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, shorter hospital admission, and fewer reinterventions compared with 𝗣𝗧𝗕𝗗. In our multicenter registry, we investigated outcomes in patients with 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗕𝗗 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 following unsuccessful ERCP. Over 18 months, 55 patients were included: 12 underwent 𝗣𝗧𝗕𝗗 and 43 underwent 𝗘𝗨𝗦-𝗖𝗗𝗦. 🔍 Key findings:  • 𝟵𝟬-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 66.7% (PTBD) vs. 20.9% (EUS-CDS) (P = 0.005)  • 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 91.7% (PTBD) vs. 44.2% (EUS-CDS) (P = 0.004)  • 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆: 4 days (PTBD) vs. 1 day (EUS-CDS) (P = 0.001)  • 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 100% (PTBD) vs. 97.7% (EUS-CDS) Notably, when both options were available and technically feasible, 𝗴𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗨𝗦-𝗖𝗗𝗦. https://lnkd.in/gh9_-MZ6 Foke van Delft, Erwin van Geenen, Auke Bogte, Robert Verdonk, Niels Venneman, dr.
