If you’d asked Juliet Azie in her 20s or 30s whether she would ever go to university, she would have said no. Last weekend, at 50 years old, she walked across the graduation stage to cheers from her friends and family and accepted her nursing degree. As a mother of four and a mature student, Juliet’s journey to graduation wasn’t straightforward. She is the first of her parents’ children to attend university and, during her first year at Middlesex, she was diagnosed with dyslexia. Despite these challenges, she thrived. “I was scared on my first placement, but I visualised my family, friends and neighbours being there and dived in,” she said. “The rest is history.” Read about Juliet’s journey, and hear from more of our inspiring nursing graduates 👉 https://bit.ly/3PD78F6
