How do we responsibly build the AI future? Today we're releasing Microsoft's 2026 Environmental Sustainability Report. This year's report highlights the progress we've made toward our environmental commitments and the innovations helping us build more sustainably for the future. As AI evolves, so does demand for energy, water, land, and materials. At Microsoft, we believe AI can deliver broad societal, economic, and environmental benefits, but innovation at this scale must be matched by the same level of responsibility.
