Microporous officially broke ground on its new lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing facility at the Southern Virginia Megasite at Berry Hill, a transformative $1.35 billion investment expected to create more than 1,800 jobs in the region. The project reflects growing momentum in the U.S. battery supply chain and reinforces Southern Virginia’s position as a rising hub for advanced energy manufacturing.
