"It gives us a chance to celebrate the heroes." Last week, Michigan Medicine honored survivors of cardiac arrest, along with the bystanders, first responders and clinicians who helped to save their lives. The second annual event, hosted by the Frankel Cardiovascular Center and Department of Emergency Medicine, featured five local survivors who shared their stories and reconnected with their lifesavers. "Those important, essential human moments are made possible if you become part of that chain of survival,” said Dr. David Pinsky, a Director of the Frankel CVC.
