I was 6 years old when I started playing golf with my grandparents. Tiger was my hero. I wanted to be like him. I wanted the clubs he used. I wanted his haircut. I wanted his red shirt. And above all, I wanted his Nike cap. Looking back, that moment wasn’t just childhood admiration. It was one of the most powerful branding effects I’ve ever seen. And it felt completely natural. Think about that iconic shot. For a full second, the Nike logo on the ball is perfectly visible while the impossible happens. Almost like the logo itself pushed the ball into the hole. You can’t script that. You can’t plan it. You can’t replicate it. Those are the moments that stand out. Spontaneous. Authentic. Impossible to copy. They spread organically because they’re real. At first glance, you might call it luck. But it isn’t. Luck only shows up when you put in the work. When you take the same shot over and over again. When you train day in and day out. When you keep showing up, even when no one is watching. If Nike had never taken a chance, if they had never shown up, they would have never been part of that “lucky” moment. That’s the truth about success. It’s not coincidence. It’s preparation meeting opportunity. You create your own luck by trying, by working, and by refusing to stop. The same applies everywhere, in business, marketing, sales, LinkedIn, and sports. Successful people don’t just get lucky. They earn the chance to be. God, I miss my grandparents ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️🏌️
