🚲 Weekly Bicycle Industry Update | Eurobike 2026 in Focus Last week, the bicycle industry’s attention was clearly on Eurobike 2026 in Frankfurt. This year’s show sent a very clear message: the market is still under pressure, but the industry is not standing still. Compared with previous years, Eurobike 2026 felt more focused and more B2B-oriented. Visitor numbers were lower than in 2025, but the quality of professional discussions remained strong. For manufacturers, suppliers, brands and retailers, this may be a sign that the industry is moving from “high volume expansion” to “higher quality cooperation”. A few key takeaways stood out: 1️⃣ E-bike systems are becoming the real battlefield Drive units, batteries, charging speed, connectivity and intelligent shifting are no longer just technical upgrades. They are becoming key selling points for brands to differentiate their products. 2️⃣ Practical mobility is gaining more attention Urban e-bikes, cargo bikes, trekking bikes and daily commuting solutions continue to show strong potential, especially in Europe where cycling is increasingly linked with clean mobility and everyday transportation. 3️⃣ Innovation is moving faster, especially from Asia New motor systems, smart shifting solutions and lightweight integrated platforms show that Asian suppliers are becoming more competitive, not only on cost, but also on technology and speed of development. 4️⃣ The market is still cautious Inventory pressure, price sensitivity and tariff uncertainty remain challenges. For global buyers, flexibility in sourcing, stable quality, compliance capability and reliable delivery will matter more than ever. For OEM/ODM manufacturers, my view is simple: the next opportunity will not only come from lower prices. It will come from better product planning, faster sample development, stronger compliance support, and the ability to help customers build bikes that fit real market demand. Eurobike 2026 may have been quieter than before, but the direction is clear: the bicycle and e-mobility industry is entering a more selective, more professional and more technology-driven stage. #Eurobike2026 #BicycleIndustry #Ebikes #OEM #ODM #CyclingIndustry #Micromobility #BikeManufacturing #GlobalTrade
