My past professional life was winemaking, and I enjoy continuing to write and talk about wine quite a bit. I often will get asked how to know which wines people will like, so I made this less-than-handy over-educating guide to remind tasters about just how many elements may be influencing us as we libate. Slap this bad boy on the table next time you’re digging into your favorite restaurant’s wine list, and tell the sommelier to carefully consider all these factors when recommending your next bottle.
