Mary Meeker's AI trends report is one of the best AI reports in a sea of such documents - but the plentify infographics also tell a story of the U.S.'s goals for domination. I wrote 5,000 words of notes on the margins of these slides. Many of the slides simply glorify an accelerationist point of view - without adding in much objective two sided context. That is unfortunate but that is what the Western media and PR based prism has come to. Mary Meeker's internet trends were once legendary, the AI trends have a much more BOND VC stamp on them - curating rather than illuminating. Still the Macro AI insights provided are useful for our understanding.
