I am incredibly proud to have achieved a 76 on my dissertation! I’ve spent the year researching MODBUS TCP security concerns in the context of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), with the aim of improving the resilience of critical national infrastructure. I worked to build a model designed to counter Man-in-the-Middle and Replay attacks on MODBUS Slave devices. I reproduced attack scenarios and evaluated my model on metrics such as latency, throughput, and security outlook across two simulations of real-time, safety-critical ICS environments. I am very grateful to my supervisor who guided me throughout my project, and I hope to be able to work more on cyber solutions in the future!
